New songs have been few and far between for me lately.  It has seemed that having time and focus and inspiration from God are how new songs spring to life with me, and when I get too busy this creative process suffers….Also, when I find myself in a winter of the soul, I more clearly sense the need to draw near to God and find help and answers in the midst of pain can lead to new songs,,,but, in the meantime, I continue to sing and share the songs I have written in past years.  It's so gratifying when some song special to me speaks to someone.  Like "Never Give Up", when someone is discouraged; or 'He spoke a Word", as someone is needing a word from the Lord in their lives, and their faith is stirred up to hear of how God does speak to individuals, and that communication can make all the difference in his/her life. After all, the songs are inspired by "real-life" experiences of an ordinary woman living life in this world, and dealing with genuine challenges. Hope they do speak to someone!!!
